  1. GENERAL RULES OF CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE
    1. All the students are responsible to the Principal and staff members of the college for their general conduct both inside and outside the college.
    2. Student’s conduct in the classes as well as on the campus should be such that it will not cause any disturbance to fellow students, staff members and the normal functioning of the college. If found guilty of misconduct, then he/she may be expelled or directed to leave the college immediately.
    3. Every student should carry with him/her the valid identity card which he/she should instantly produce when asked for by the College Official/s.
    4. Use or display of mobile/cell phones and/or any other music instruments/gadgets in the class rooms and college premises is strictly prohibited and forbidden during instructional and Examination days. Even possession of any of these gadgets are forbidden in the examination halls. In case of violation, the gadget will be instantly confiscated and will be retained by the college till the end of the Semester, which may be handed over to the Parent/Legal Guardian after the declaration of result of that Semester.
    5. Every student is expected to be in the class-room before the lecturer comes in. Similarly, no one shall leave the class-room before the lecturer leaves the room except with his/her prior permission. Students must not loiter on the college premises when the other classes are in progress. Students are not allowed to attend lecturers other than their own class-lecture except with the due permission from the lecturer concerned.
    6. Every student is expected to deal with the college property with due care and should help in keeping the premises neat and clean, taking the college as a continuation of his home. Any damage done to the college property is a breach of discipline and will be dealt with severely. Students suspected or found guilty are liable for paying the recovery and/or expulsion. Disfiguring of college property is punishable and students found guilty or suspected of this type of act will be expelled from the college.
    7. No student is allowed to smoke and spit within the building. If found guilty, will be punishable under the Government’s Prohibition of smoking and spitting Act. No student is allowed to take liquor or any drugs or intoxicants within the college campus. Even outside the college campus, he/she is expected to keep up to a very high moral and social behavior so as to uphold the name of the college.
    8. No student shall collect any money as contribution for picnics, trips, get-together, charity, meeting or any other activity without the permission of the Principal. No Society or Association or Union shall be formed in the College and no person invited to address any meeting without the Principal’s prior and proper permission.
    9. Any student found guilty of ragging another student will be expelled from the college or punished as per the rulings of Central and State Government.
    10. Complete Time-Table for the semesters will be displayed on the notice-board. Accordingly the Students should attend all the lectures, seminars, practicals etc. with all sincerity and regularly.
    11. Students are warned that if their attendance at lectures, practicals and other academic activities is unsatisfactory, then their names may not be kept on the college roll. Such defaulting students will not be allowed to answer the examinations.
    12. If for any reason, the continuance of a student in the college is detrimental to the best interest of the college, then the Principal can ask such a student to leave the college without assigning further reasons. In extreme cases, the student may be dismissed and/or rusticated from the college.
    13. Students should not go outside the college premises for refreshments and should make use of the college canteen facilities. Students should not be found loitering in neighbouring restaurants or eateries.
    14. Students should make themselves familiar with the syllabi of their courses of studies as well as with the other College regulations. Should read the notices displayed from time to time on the college notice boards. However, some urgent notices may be read out in the Classroom.
    15. Students are not allowed to meet any outsider or ex-student in the college premises with out the permission of the Principal. However, if any family members or relative come to meet the students, they can make an entry in the Gate Register and meet them at the college guest longue.
    16. Any breach of the above rules will be dealt severely. Genuine difficulties of the students should be put forth in writing to the Principal through the Class Representatives or the Students’ Council and every effort will be made to solve the genuine difficulties with due consideration.
    17. The Principal’s and/or the Committee of Teachers’ decision in all matters of the college shall be final and binding on all.
    18. It is binding on all students to come to the college after having breakfast at home and / or bring packed Lunch or Breakfast on all college days. If not, they should have some food from the canteen.
  2. ATTENDANCE RULES Every student should keep two Semesters during the academic year. He/she should have a minimum attendance of 75 percent in aggregate and in each of the subjects and papers to be eligible to answer the subject or the paper of the relevant Semester (of the total number of Lectures, practicals conducted). In addition, every student is expected to complete other academic and extra-curricular work assigned to him/ her. However, condonation of attendance as per Goa University Circular may be granted only to the students for representing this College, Goa University, State of Goa in extra-corricular activities and not for any other reason.
    A student who does not have the minimum percentage of attendance will not be eligible to appear for the Semester End Examination of that Semester.
    In case of sickness, illness, a medical certificate accompanied by a covering letter from the parent or guardian of the student must be submitted within three days of his/her coming back to the college. In case of absence for more than three days, the student should inform the Principal in writing by the fourth day of his/her absence. It may be noted that such justification of absence does not change the absence to presence.
  3. LIBRARY RULES Books can be checked out from the library on production of library cards issued to the students, from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on all the working days. Entering Library with bags, mobile phone, Books etc. is forbidden. All such belongings should be kept at the Shelves kept near the entrance of the Library at their own risk. Cash and imporatant valuables should never be kept in those shelves. Any one tempering with others’ belongings will be severely dealt with.
    Library Books, issued against the Library Card can be kept by a student for not more than seven days at a stretch. Prescribed fine will be imposed after the due date. Reading room facility is also provided to the students from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on all working days. Absolute Silence should be maintained in the Library and the Reading Rooms. Students having theory or practical lectures should not be seen in the Library during their Lecture time. Library is not a place for maintaining Journals and/or group discussion or inter personal communication. Violation of these Library rules may attract disciplinary action.
    Library books issued to the students, have to be returned soon after the examinations are over and all over dues should be paid to get the Result or the Marksheet. There is Book Bank facility as well, from where qualifying students are given mostly the Text Books, which have also to be returned soon after the Examination.
  4. CONDUCT IN THE COLLEGE CANTEEN Use of canteen should be only during the non instructional hours and intervals. The students should ask for the items which are on the display or readily available in the canteen by paying the appropriate cost displayed on the Rate Chart in the canteen. Prepayment or Regular payment for the consumed item is a must in the College Canteen. If any one is interested to order for Lunch, the order should be placed on prepayment basis well in advance i.e. before or during the intervals so as to ensure the supply of Lunch. The students and staff bringing Lunch packets, Tiffins are allowed to consume those in the canteen without asking any other help or favour from the canteen operator and with out causing any discomfort for the usual canteen users.
    Argument with the canteen operator, visitors and other canteen staff is not allowed. Talking in loud voice, seating idle in the canteen, passing remarks at others, etc. are treated as act of indiscipline. Using or displaying of mobile phone music gadgets, Smoking or consumption of liquor or any other drugs or intoxicants or sale of these items is banned in the canteen.
    Outsiders are not be allowed in the canteen, unless prior permission is obtained from the College Officials. Anyone doing so is liable for disciplinary action. The Canteen should not be used for any meeting by the students or others in the College. It should be used decently and in a civilized manner. Due care must be taken of the furniture and fixture in the canteen. The decision of the Principal or the Canteen Committee in all matters concerning the canteen shall be final and binding.
  5. IDENTITY CARD Every student will be issued a Student Identity Card from the college office after the admission procedure is complete. Every student must have his/her valid identity card with him/her during the college hours and examinations and to be shown whenever asked for. The Identity Card should be returned to the college office when the student leaves the college.
  6. PARENTS RESPONSIBILITIES The parent/Guardian should confirm that their ward has completed the admission procedure by paying the appropriate fees to be a bonafide student of this college. They should sometime visit the College Principal/Lecturers to know the overall progress of their ward including attendance. They should attend at least two Parent Teachers’ Interaction (PTA) Meetings on the scheduled date and time (at 10 a.m. on 15-08-09 and 05.12.09). They are requested to accompany their ward to collect the result of their ward and attend the Annual College Day.
    They should avoid sending their ward for Private Tuition Classes in the subjects taught as a part of college curriculum. Parent/Guardian should ensure that their ward is descently, comfortably and appropriately dressed to suit the class-room teaching and learning. They should inform the teachers concerned or the Principal immediately if their ward is absent to the classes for long duration due to sickness or any other reason. They should feel free and are requested to meet the Principal/Lecturers in case of any difficulty related to the college curriculum. They should encourage the child to actively involve in academic, co-curricular and extra curricular activities organized by the college and the University. They are also requested to keep an eye on the overall conduct and behaviour of their ward out side the College Premises.
    Please Note : Other relevant rules and regulations of the Govt. of India, Govt. of Goa, Goa University and Notices & Circulars of the college will be binding on the Students
